Major Mint

It's that time of the week - Mani Monday! Loving this mint shade (Mint Sorbet is the exact Sally Hansen hue) for this week's self manicure. This polish goes on evenly and only takes 2 coats to get a good solid look (not always the case with pastel or lighter shades). Plus, this brand is only a few dollars at Ulta...good deal in my book!

Lovely Layering

In order to wear some of the dresses/tops to work that I love, sometimes layering helps to make that possible. This purple dress, from Gap, is lightweight and perfect for work. However, why not add a little dimension to it by pairing it with a top? This top, from J.Crew, is the ultimate fix. The color and pattern and not over-powering and makes the dress even more office-appropiate. I topped this outfit off with some espadrilles from Aldo and some layered bracelets (vintage, Forever 21, Michael Kors).

Gems from Judy's

There is nothing I love more than a good, solid fashion bargain buy. I have posted about Judy before but let me reitterate why I'm such a raging Judy fan. Judy's Antiques in Fort Myers is a totally hidden gem. The small, quaint shop is a great place to find treasures such as silver teapots, broaches, etc. However, when I venture in, I'm looking for vintage jewelry. I left the store with 2 necklaces ($1 each), a ring ($5) and a set of major blingy earrings ($5). These are pieces you couldn't find in some trendy boutique - they have a little character to them. Walking out with all of these goodies for $12 was just too exciting to not share!

Red, Blue, All Things New

I was excited to wear this super fun and feminine dress - I mean, how precious are the details? I found this dress at my favorite local boutique, Lindsay Nicole. Paired with sky-high patent leather heels from Aldo and this fun ring from H&M, I was having a ball twirling around in this little get up all day.

Back to Basics

I'm all about trying out the newest and funkiest products, but sometimes it's important to not lose track of the best and most basic products. This hand cream above, L'Occitane, (available at Sephora) is the ultimate product for extremely dry hands. This shea butter based product not only heals cracked hands, but also smells amazing. What's the best overall product for lips? My coworker turned me on to this rose salve above by C.O. Bigelow (available at Bath & Body Works). Run along little product junkies...snatch these up for your purse, makeup bag, car, wherever.

Girly Glam

Hot pink and sequins? Welcome to my heaven. I was beyond enthused about these hot pink suede heels from Zara and couldn't wait to find the ultimate outfit for making them pop. This white sequined blazer was a fab find at H&M for $30 (it's probably not necessary to say that I almost cried tears of joys) and I think it's the perfect mix of summer crisp white and glittery glam with the sequins. The necklace added the additional bling factor (from Charming Charlie - $27). Of course, this outfit wouldn't be complete without some fun hot pink lipstick (Urban Decay).

Friday Night Casual

For a casual Friday night of movies and lounging with great company, there is nothing better than a casual but cute outfit. These drawstring shorts are so comfortable and were a great steal from Charlotte Russe. I love these new glittery sandals from Target (under $9) - they are perfect for sassing up a more casual outfit. I topped off the outfit with a pullover chambray shirt (TJ Maxx) and a middle part ponytail. Voila - casual chic!

Mixing Neutrals & Brights

I'm a huge fan of these watermelon-colored pants (from Gap). Not only do they have a little stretched to them, but they are the perfect length (everyone knows it's a tough world for a girl with short legs to find pants that are the correct length). In order to not be too overpowering in this hue, I opted for a toned down denim top (TJ Maxx) with nude heels (Zara - not majorly uncomfortable!). I layered gold bracelets (a mix from H&M, Forever 21 and Francesca's) and my Michael Kors boyfriend watch. The bold necklace (J.Crew) ties the outfit together and adds a little color on top. Not bad for throwing something together before rushing out the door.

Cute in Cobain

This has to be one of my favorite outfits that I've put together in the last few months. The Kurt Cobain t-shirt (from Forever 21 - $8) gives a little edge to these patterned pants (H&M, duh). I love the unexpected mix here. I chose my new Zara black heels and a chunky chain necklace (channeling my inner Mr. T - available at Express). Topped with red lip stain and white nails, the look is complete! Edgy and fun - perfect attire for a girlfriend reunion!

Snow White

I had been wanting to try white nails for a bit now but finding the right polish is key. I opted for this white from Sinful Colors (about $2 from Walgreens). I started with a base coat by OPI, then followed that with two coats of the white polish and topped the look off with Seche Vite fast drying top coat. Love how fresh these white nails look! Plus...they match with everything! Perfection.

Maj Mix Match

Sometimes you just have to have a little fun and forget about being so matchy-matchy. These three bracelets (all from H&M) were the perfect way to jazz up my plain dress for shopping.

Sassy New Sunnies

Oh...just enjoying this $4 new sunnies from Charlotte Russe. Believe me, I'm just as surprised as you are. Stop in the store for some fun shaped sunglasses for minimal moolah.

Cool Cat

When you live in Southwest Florida, it's only natural to always be on the hunt for new coverups and new bikinis since most of your life is spent at the pool or beach. This cool cat coverup (available at Target) was too cute for me to pass by. Since this is actually a tank top, go a couple sizes up to make sure it's long enough.

Endless Red

LOVE LOVE LOVE this red lip stain from L'Oreal (Colour Riche Wet Shine Stain)! I was surprised to open this tube and find a wand...I was expecting traditional lipstick. This stain isn't too intense but does give your lips a pretty, glossy red tint. The teardrop-shaped applicator is by far the best for applying a lip product...perfectly hugging the curves of your top lip. I would highly recommend this product!

Polka Dots & Pumps

Finally - a new pair of hammer pants! That is a cause for celebration in my world. These pants (from Forever 21) were only $15 and are so fun! I paired these comfy pants with a tan knitted top (H&M) and Aldo patent leather nude heels. I spiced up this ensemble with a fun ring from Forever 21, a long gold necklace from Ann Taylor and an assortment of fun gold bracelets for a little arm candy action. Yes, it's true that by 1 pm my feet were blistered and in pain...but they looked good. Mind over matter, honey...mind.over.matter.

Basic Black & White

While everyone drops a "I need to quit buying so many black clothing items" while shopping, black and white is so easy to wear. It's easy to match, looks clean and is classic. So, when the opportunity comes around for a fun black and white cotton maxi, you can only imagine how all over it I actually am. Maxi dresses are such perfect option for a Monday. One stop shop, doll! This maxi is from H&M. These fun gold and black shoes are from Target. On my wrist: Michael Kors watch and H&M bracelets.

Red, White and Blonde (I mean...Blue)

Whether you are hitting the beach, a bar, a BBQ or a pool party, you should be looking your best this 4th of July. While layering on the red, white and blue is imperative, there is definitely a classy way of doing this. These outfit options, from www.LaurenConrad.com, are three of my favorite looks. The far left option is perfect for fireworks, house parties, etc. Easy breezy enough for cornhole and still patriotic. The middle look is great for a pool party (could always substitute flats/sandals into this mix) or a BBQ. The look on the far right is a bit more dressed up and would make more sense for a more formal mixer or holiday cocktail hour. If you aren't too crazy about patriotic-colored garments, opt for some red, white and blue nails. Get fancy with nail designs (American flags, stars, stripes or solids). Cheers to a fabulously long and relaxing weekend!

Sparkles, Spikes and Sassy Shoes

There is no better feeling than getting new high heels...in the world, there isn't a better feeling. You'll never be able to convince me otherwise. But, seriously. The arrival of these heels, from Zara, was the only thing that has kept me going since last week. Is it just me or when you know a new pair of heels is coming do you obsess over what the perfect outfit would be divine with them? Thought this would be the perfect opportunity to bust out my tight mustard pencil skirt from H&M. I paired the skirt and heels with this white and black blouse from Forever21. The necklace added a little feminine touch to the buttoned-up blouse. I kept the rest of my jewelry simple (or non-existent) and rocked a little magenta Sephora lipstick for a pop of color. Loving this outfit.

Pool Day Products

When venturing out for a Sunday pool day, there a few things that I find essential. I love doing my nails while laying out at the pool...keeps me from dwelling on how ridiculously hot the summertime is in Southwest Florida. I always back my Beach Defense sunblock (top left). And of course, you can't hit the pool without some light reading...expect nothing less than a good solid read by Nicole Richie from me. Top off my beach bag with my Ray-Ban aviators and I'm ready for a succesful day of sunshine.
Bikini: Victoria's Secret  Polish: Seche Vite, Essie, OPI  Polka Dot Bag: Forever 21  Sunglasses: Ray-Ban

Skulls, Spice and Everything Nice

There is nothing I don't like about skulls right now. They are trendy yet give you just enough of a bad ass edge that you earn a little street cred....okay, well that might be pushing it. Continued the funkiness throughout the outfit with red skinnies, tall black wedge heels, red lips and a top knot bun.If you aren't sure if skulls are for you, maybe start off slow and ease into it. Try a skull bracelet or scarf.

Big Necklace, Big Statement

Since statement pieces like chunky, bright necklaces are so trendy right now, when I find one as fun as the one above, I have to have it! This necklace, from J.Crew, was a great snag during the store's 50% off extravaganza a few weeks ago. I paired this necklace with this white Gap top, navy boyfriend pants and bright orange BCBG wedges.

Steals and Deals

On a recent shopping spree, I nabbed a fabulous steal. As my shopping pal and I were strolling around the mall, we passed a store I haven't stepped into in years. Charlotte Russe had a mannequin wearing these cute shorts and when I walked in to find them, much to my surprise, they were on sale for $10! These shorts are crisp and I'm loving the added flair of the braided top and slits on bottom. Also, loving the fresh minty turquoise hue. Find these now in your nearest Charlotte Russe.
