Silky AND Savvy

With nearly 15 shampoos, conditioners, face washes and soaps, it's a must for this product-obsessed gal to be smart. I hate to sit down and think about the amount of money I've spent on all these bottles of soap. But, luckily for me, I learned a trick from my mama years and years ago that has saved me money and made my legs silky smooth the whole time. Swap out your shaving cream for cheap conditioner. Shaving with condition instead of shaving cream will save you money for two reasons. One, cheap conditioner is $1 (Suave comes in a million fabulous scents). Two, one bottle lasts forever. Your legs...and your boyfriend...will thank me (or better yet, my mom!).

Mix-n-Match

Everyday is a rush when getting ready for work (always justifying sleeping in just ten more minutes). This week, by accident, I put in two different earrings. After initially wondering if everyone at work had been staring at me, I decided I was into the mix match look. If you're going to try this look, try to keep the earrings around the same size. Find these earrings at Forever 21.

Wrist-ky Business

I may not be the most religious of people, but I am loving these crosses on accessories. This new bracelet, found at Lindsay Nicole, is a perfect addition to my daily accessory pieces.

Sparkles for Spring

Sticking to my gel manicures, I opted for some more fun sparkles this time around...this time with a little more color. Who doesn't love a good hot pink every now and then? Vivienne did a fabulous job of giving me the Barbie-like mani I was longing for. Spice it up, honey - it's SPRING!

Love in Lavand

Who says short girls can't wear mid-length dresses? Not me. Found this precious at my new favorite boutique, Lindsay Nicole (post to come), and received so many compliments on this fun dress. Paired with a belt and nude heels (not to distract from the bold colors and print), I was twirling around the office all day. Dress is Lavand. Heels are Jessica Simpson.

Berry Good, Sugar

I'm always game for a new lip product. Megan, my gal pal, gave me this Sugar (in Berry) lip balm/stick when she was in town and I'm obsessed. This product makes my lips soft but adds a nice berry tint, as well. Find this at Sephora.

Brighten Up With Blue

Spice up your regular makeup routine with a bold color as your bottom liner. To help the the shadow (used as liner) stay in place, wet a Q-tip before dabbing into shadow. Rub along bottom lashes and make line as thick as you prefer. For this look, I used a Sephora Baked Color Palette.

Sock Bun: Part Deux

With the help of perfectly matched clip-in hair extensions, I'm able to do this more elegant version of a sock bun. I converted from an actual sock bun made from a light beige sock to a Conair Sock Bun Maker (available at Target). To get this look: 1) Put hair in pony tail 2) Place bun maker around pony tail, at the base (hair should be through hole of bun maker) 3) Spread hair from pony tail over bun maker, covering evenly so that the bun maker isn't visible 4) Wrap a hair tie around bun maker so that hair is still covering all of it 5) Take the hair that is sticking out from the bun and start wrapping it around bun 6) Use bobby pins to pin hair while you're wrapping it around to hold it in place 7) Voila! Fancy bun that takes less than 5 minutes to do and looks fabulous!

Pretty in Pink

What's more chic than a pearl necklace, a hot pink Chanel bag and a pink outfit? Nothing in my book. Lucky baby girls are rocking this precious pink onesie. Find one for your little princess at Francesca's.

Oh La La Mer

In a time where layering your wrist with a variety of watches, bangles, bracelets and bands is totes trendy, La Mer has swooped in a created a nice little all-in-one accessory. La Mer wrap watches come in all colors and designs, ranging from animal prints to bold colors. My girlfriend, Suzie, sported this rich brown leather wrap watch while visiting. Arm party must-have!

Fishtail Fashionista

When two of your best friends come into town, it's a weekend of swapping clothes and swapping makeup and hair tricks. Thankfully, my friend Megan was able to teach Suzie and I how to do a fishtail braid. These braids look so trendy but are easy to do. Click on this link to learn how to do your own: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZyZkowmdZv8

Sass up a maxi dress or flirty nighttime attire with this braid...or...try this braid to spice up your t-shirt/jeans combo.

Oh So Ombre

Ombre is so chic when it comes to your locks so why not move that trend right to your finger tips? Inspired by a photo from Instagram, I headed in to Luxury Spa for my favorite nail stylist, Vivienne, to give me a new edgy nail design. Viv used a light pink Gelish shallac polish and mixed three different gold glitters for the ombre tips. Something a little new and fun for spring. If you're a little nervous about trying something like this, start with a neutral base like mine.
