Gems from Judy's

There is nothing I love more than a good, solid fashion bargain buy. I have posted about Judy before but let me reitterate why I'm such a raging Judy fan. Judy's Antiques in Fort Myers is a totally hidden gem. The small, quaint shop is a great place to find treasures such as silver teapots, broaches, etc. However, when I venture in, I'm looking for vintage jewelry. I left the store with 2 necklaces ($1 each), a ring ($5) and a set of major blingy earrings ($5). These are pieces you couldn't find in some trendy boutique - they have a little character to them. Walking out with all of these goodies for $12 was just too exciting to not share!

Home Sweet Beach

You might find this picture a bit rude if you don't live here but I do, it's gorgeous and I can't help but share. Come visit if you'd like. Guests welcome.

Judging Judy's

I had originally gone to the spectacular hidden gem, Judy's Jewelry and Antiques, looking for a gift weeks ago but knew I'd need to go back when I had the time necessary to sift through all Judy's treasures. There is one major pro and one major con to vintage jewelry. If you have tiny wrists like me, it's a jackpot. The bangles and bracelets seem smaller than they make them these days. The downfall of older jewelry is the amount of clip-on earrings. I was dying for the earrings above but knew after one dance move, those beauties would be on the floor...lost forever. Either way, the deals were insane and I assured Judy I will be back soon. The bonus of developing a relationship with the small-town owner? Immediate discount because she knew I'd blog about my findings. I'll chalk this one up as a win.
