| While my living room has a variety of colors, my guest room and master bedroom aren't so lucky. I'm a victim of the belief in all white bedrooms. But can you really just have white from floor to ceiling without feeling like you're in a sterile hospital room? I think not. | I can admit it...I am overkill with throw pillows. My boyfriend thinks I have a serious problem and that's because I do. But this pillow...this pillow is just one step closer to perfection. Pom poms on pillows? Brilliant, people! This pillow shown is just a plain, crisp white pillow but HomeGoods had them in tan/white stripes and black/white strips (believe me, if they had the black/white at my HomeGoods, there would be two on my bed as we speak). Such a fun spin on a "necessity" like a throw pillow (men, hold your scoffing). |

| If there is one place I could spend hours on end, it'd be HomeGoods (that's probably a lie...let's not forget about Sephora, Nordstrom, Target). I can only really compare it to treasure hunting. I've been longing for the blue and white patterned china-like pieces I've been seeing but this slightly muted red option is such an unexpected gem. At $12.99, it's the perfect accessory - use in the kitchen for fruit, out on the coffee table as decor or even sitting upright on your mantle. I'm pretty proud of this find. |

| I mentioned I was turning over a new leaf so in true female fashion, I obviously had to get a new hair cut, too! That's how women work - they make a big change in their life and then voila - they dye/cut/shave that business and call it a day. New hair, new woman...am I right? So how did I land on this "lob" (long bob)? Well, everyone's doing it and with every photo I saw posted with this new 'do, I grew more and more obsessed with the idea that I too could chop my dead ends and get something fresh. As a gal barely over 5'2'', my long hair was starting to have the Wednesday Adams effect on me...or so I thought. It just wasn't doing anything for me and had lost it's trendy factor. They say "another day, another dollar" but that's contradicts my news - I recently left my sales job and am looking for a position that is more "me"...something more...sparkly. I cracked open my favorite Kate Spade planner today (although I have to admit, I don't use it correctly to keep my life in order...it's more of a fun little pad to scribble down the more exciting plans in my life). | Listen...if anyone gets the severity and annoyance of cold weather, it's me. Coming off my high of living in Florida for the past 3 years, I totally understand every aspect that makes winter difficult. There is the snow that makes driving difficult and dangerous, there is the brutal chilling wind that burns your face and the worst, chapped lips and dry cuticles (am I right?).Well, tragic fashion doesn't have to be part of this season. Get yourself a cute pair of snow boots, for starters. They are necessary and don't have to be tragically manly. I just purchased a pair of Herringbone Sorels that are a game-changer! Toss on a cute oversized sweater and a cute hat and you'll be a precious little snow bunny...or something like that. |

| I've been sooo wanting to try this trend and finally, I pulled the trigger on a pair that I found to be very "Kacey" in nature. While picking up a pair of work heels (bor-ing) at DSW, I noticed these guys (I believe they were $10) and had to have them. They are worn as normal earrings and when putting them in, you just use the larger side as the "back" of the earring. How fun! With your hair down, it's a bit harder to see the glam-ness of these but with a sassy pony, they'd be the perfect accessory! What a perfect unexpected find! |

| If I had to pick one look to rock all fall and winter, this would be it friends. These boyfriend jeans, from J.Crew, are so forgiving and even more comfortable. A chunky cable knit sweater is comfy and practical. Throw on your favorite pair of ankle boots, a plaid scarf, winter hat and call it a day. No need to accessorize with jewelry for this look but I added a funky ear cuff just for a little edge. Voila - chic and bundled up! |

| Winter is among us, friends. Am I happy about it? No. But Mother Nature doesn't care what I think so I'll just be here in Chicago making the best of it. As you know, your makeup routine and products have probably changed a bit over the past month. The lips are getting darker and your skin is getting more dry. React accordingly. Swap out your typical hand lotion for a hand cream or even a body butter. Layer on chap stick before your lipstick or alone. While I'm complaining about the harsh winds and snow, you won't find me making a negative comment about finally getting to bust out my plum lipstick! Silver lining, everyone...silver.lining. |

| What girl doesn't like to day dream about items that she can't afford but would love to have? Well, I have been lusting over this Tory Burch bag (bottom purse) and another one like it for a while now but couldn't ever rationalize forking over $560 at this moment in my life. But, I still loved the style and unfortunately/fortunately for me, my current black purse is out of commission with two freshly broken zippers. So, off to Zara I went (was actually not looking for this purse) and stumbled across a very similar looking bag (top purse). This purse was less than a fifth the price and super cute! | Alas! The perfect eyebrow product. I am currently cursed with sparse eyebrows...probably from overplucking back in my younger years. The gal who does my hair mentioned that she got her oh-so-perfect brows using Anastasia Dipbrow. I found it at my local Ulta and use the shade Medium Brown (seen above). It's a game changer. I use an angled brow brush to apply and I've never received so many compliments. My favorite part of this product is that it's a pomade (yes, like the hair product) and you can make it light or darker. |
