Steal of the Week

What girl doesn't like to day dream about items that she can't afford but would love to have? Well, I have been lusting over this Tory Burch bag (bottom purse) and another one like it for a while now but couldn't ever rationalize forking over $560 at this moment in my life. But, I still loved the style and unfortunately/fortunately for me, my current black purse is out of commission with two freshly broken zippers. So, off to Zara I went (was actually not looking for this purse) and stumbled across a very similar looking bag (top purse). This purse was less than a fifth the price and super cute! I'm very pleased with this bargain! Sorry, Tory...

Holy Chic

If you're going to slum in a t-shirt, might as well say "Holy Chic" right? I totally agree. This Old Navy t-shirt pairs perfectly with a cargo jacket like this one above. Sass up this top with a high waisted midi skirt, heels and statement necklace. Perfection.

Turned On To Tortoise

All I'm saying is...they were $9.95 from H&M and they are AH-MAZING.

Splurge vs Steal

So...like every woman breathing, I was DYING for these Stuart Weitzman over-the-knee black leather boots. However, while I'm still swooning over a recent promotion, I can't go spending $635 on a pair of boots that will likely be ruined in one day in the Chicago snow. So...I did what I do best. I almost physically ran into the deal of a decade. I found a pair of black leather over-the-knee boots that are the spitting image of Stuart's masterpiece. They are by Unisa and I found them at DSW. How much you ask? A whooping $50...
<insert wide-eyed emoji here>

They are basically identical you say? Well, thank you...I think so myself.

Can you tell which is which?
(The top one is Unisa and the bottom is Stuart Weitzman. Boom.)

Time for Tortoise

Fall is here, friends. And while in my life as new non-Florida resident has brought on a little "winter anticipation anxiety", I'm definitely trying to slow down and enjoy the short fall like a true Chicago gal. One fall fashion trend I am all jazzed about is tortoise shell jewelry. I bought a pair of $9 snazzy tortoise shell earrings from H&M that reminded me of just how fab tortoise shell is. Last night, I wore a tortoise shell necklace similar to the one here on the bottom right with a black and white striped long sweater. Unexpected but oh..so fall!

Layer It Up

This white button up shirt is my best friend, my soulmate. I wear it with just about everything. Now that it's "winter" (in the 80's here today, however), it was time to add a little dimension to my work dresses. Throwing this white top under my dresses make it feel like an entirely new garment! Not to mention, these colors are quite perfect for the holiday season.

'Tis the Season...for Sweatshirts!

Even in sunny Florida, the temperature is dropping (and yes, us Floridians consider 75 degrees to be "breezy"). So, if you want the warmth of a sweatshirt, why not wear one with a little sass? Above are some of my favorite sweatshirts of the moment. This is a perfect way to look cute and put together but remain comfy!

Pumps & Patterns

One of my favorite things in fashion right now is patterned pants. I love ones in neutrals (like above on my Big Apple gal pal Jamie) and also not-so-neutral patterned bottoms. For this fabulous fall day in New York City, Jamie paired these pants (from TJ Maxx) with her Vince Camuto black pumps. Paired with a blazer, you could rock this look at work. Paired with a motorcycle jacket, this could be a fun night look! Either way you cut it, Jamie's getting her glam on.

Fresh Fall Flats

Funky fresh fall fashion is all that and a bag of chips right now. While I drool over all things velour, green and all flats...I just almost feel off my couch when I scrolled past these beauties. How precious!? And these flats are just the tip of the iceberg for designer Charlotte Olympia. Take the time (get it...clock flats...) and fall in love with her many beautiful fall creations. You can thank me later.

Fall Fashion Find of the Day

We are all jazzed about boot season - no denying that. However, I'm equally as jazzed about these booties. These heeled boots are the ultimate fall transition piece and I need them on my feet...like yesterday. Find these precious babies here: www.topshop.com

Blazer Bliss

I know I don't have to tell you twice...time to slip into all of your favorite blazers and embrace the cooling weather. Pair your blazer with jeans and a top or even a frilly skirt and blouse - it's truly a convertible piece.

Flats With Cats

Green...and comfy...with feline fun? Holy heaven. These flats, which I found at Forever 21, are too cute for words. Thank goodness the fashion world is becoming a bit more...feline-friendly.

Glam in Green

Everyone needs a motorcycle jacket...so why not have one that is just enough different to be fabulous? This gorgeous green quilted leather moto jacket is perfection. Toss it on over a feminine dress for an edgier look or with jeans and a white shirt for something more classic. Heels or boots. Bun or wild curls. The sky is the limit. Love to love it...and just as an extra kicker, it's on sale. You are welcome.

Fashion Find of the Day

If you know me...you probably know that it's not likely to find me on the back of some motorcycle. However, I would gladly wear a pair of badass boots that are a little biker-esqe. These are motorcycle meets mega style. The metal heel demands attention but not in an annoying away. The patent toe adds a little sass. For these "Zhora Boots," visit NastyGal.com. These boots could work with skinnies or with a more feminine dress. Be bold with these bad boys.

Fur-ocious

I refuse to wear real fur...have at it if it's your cup of tea but I'm personally too much of an animal lover for that sort of behavior. But, I'll tell you what I am down for...faux fur vest. In fact, I'll say that I'd be fine with a full fur coat. So comfy...so warm...so fabulous. And frankly, Rachel Zoe might as well be my own personal bible...I believe anything she says/does/wears. So...fur vests it is.

Fashion Find of the Day

It's time to start seeking out the precious fall fashion accessories. Allow me to do it for you. These Ted Baker London Butter leather gloves are so amazing. The brown is the perfect shade. The button adds a little bad gal feeling and yet, they keep your paws toasty. Find them here

Maroon - The Finale

And finally...the way to wear maroon jeans like a true diva. Wrestle out your fur vest, ankle boots and over-sized purse of luxury and get out on the town. This outfit will keep your warm (perfect for my Chicago and NYC gal pals) but is still trendy. Plus, who isn't looking for an excuse to wear their favorite grey sweater out. Apparently you can have your cake and eat it too...as long as your cake is a sweater and eating it too means wearing that bad boy with heels. You get the picture.

Maroon - Take Two

There is, of course, a much more casual way to wear maroon jeans as well. Here are some cute options for when you are feeling funky fresh and want to bust out your Converse sneakers. The perfect little outfits for a day of errands, hitting up the farmer's market or doing what we all do best...shopping.

Maroon Must-Have

My roommate just bought a new pair of the perfect fall bottoms: maroon jeans. Now, she is wondering what exactly to pair them with. So, I've added this perfect day-to-night guide. However, I'd like to add that I believe the "day" outfit would be great with heels and the leather jacket or sans jacket completely. Either way, these jeans are the perfect fall shade and a must-have in our apartment. Job well done, roomie.

Dark Date Night

When a friend of mine told me she was going on her second date, I decided to start laying out the options for date night. These two outfits are fall perfection. These Michael Kors pumps on the left are a staple people that every woman should probably own. They are an investment of course, but so versatile. For the outfit on the right, the main focus for me is the leather jacket. But, unlike most leather jackets, it isn't too "motorcycle-y." It's more of a blazer, actually...and who doesn't love a good blazer!?
