A Splash of Spikes

I am so jazzed about these fun pants, that I had to bring them out of the closet again. The first time I sported these patterned pants, I opted for a Kurt Cobain shirt...such a fun twist. This time, I went with a spiked top (from TJ Maxx) to add some edge. For heels, I went with my tall, black, patent leather Aldo heels. To finish off the look, I chose a red lip stain (L'Oreal) and a top knot (duh). 

Layer It On

Even in the summer, I'm a huge fan of layering. It spices up plain sweaters, button-ups, t-shirts, etc. It's the perfect way to make a piece you wear all the time look completely new and different. I love this chambray shirt and honestly, I probably wear it too often. This striped t-shirt (Target - little girl's section...seriously) has some details of it's own but takes on a whole new life over the denim. I paired these layered tops with these fun watermelon Gap trousers, Target nude patent leather flats, a sock bun and this polka dot makeup bag-turned-clutch from Forever 21. 

Fashion Find of the Day

If you know me...you probably know that it's not likely to find me on the back of some motorcycle. However, I would gladly wear a pair of badass boots that are a little biker-esqe. These are motorcycle meets mega style. The metal heel demands attention but not in an annoying away. The patent toe adds a little sass. For these "Zhora Boots," visit NastyGal.com. Because I'm a Lady...That's Why

Okay...so that was not my outfit today. But, in my defense, I wanted to be wearing this outfit. Peplum is just so flattering...featuring the smallest part of your waist, while skirting over the inevitable post-lunch food baby. And who doesn't love a nice trouser? This gal loves trouser...or at least loves using the word as often as possible. Pair this outfit with feminine and class accessories. Nothing says class like Yves Saint Laurent. Channeling Dorothy

Okay...so more like I'm channeling Dorothy meets the Wicked Witch of the West. Whatever. They are patent leather, red and kind of corky. Right up my alley. Plus, I like anything with a bow on it. They feel like presents! Plus, red is all the rage right now so I can't NOT buy red shoes. 

Pink Passion

Just when I've convinced my friends that I don't have the "most granny style ever", I purchase high-waisted magenta pants that I could promise you my great grandmother had back in her prime. The truth is, that only makes me love them more. Naturally, I'd mix hot pink pants with leopard print. That's just how I roll..pink and leopard print. Girl gone glam.

Perfect Purchase

It was time. Can't blog about how fabulous smoking slippers are and then NOT buy smoking slippers. They combine everything I am into right now...studs, gold accents, dark red and patent leather. Can't wait to wear these little puppies out!

Spice Up Your (Work) Life

Since I've been getting quite bored with my work wardrobe, I decided to start branching out (in my closet) a little. Yesterday I decided to go with a little dress number that I'd bought more for the night scene. With a blazer over it, it's work appropriate. I paired this outfit with some patent leather pumps, some costume jewelry, a low bun and that's what all she wrote.
