Fashion Find of the Day

While it's hard to transition into fall in a location where it's pretty much summer all year long, for those of you living up north, time for trading out your sundresses for blazers and scarves is now. I'm pretty swoon for anything floral and patterned pants of any sort. So, this fashion find above is all systems go with me. These tall oriental floral cigarette trousers are available from Topshop. Wear these pants with a blazer and blouse for the office or with a sassy blouse and heels for happy hour.

I've always been a fan of men in suspenders but I've recently decided that I'm all for women in them, also. Keep them feminine chic with florals and lace or rock the masculine look with trousers and a button up top. Head to Pinterest for great ideas on how to make DIY suspenders or check out Etsy or Amazon for ones already made. Not quite sure about this look? Try them with one of your favorite pieces and keep them simple (perhaps and all black and white outfit). 

Because I'm a Lady...That's Why

Okay...so that was not my outfit today. But, in my defense, I wanted to be wearing this outfit. Peplum is just so flattering...featuring the smallest part of your waist, while skirting over the inevitable post-lunch food baby. And who doesn't love a nice trouser? This gal loves trouser...or at least loves using the word as often as possible. Pair this outfit with feminine and class accessories. Nothing says class like Yves Saint Laurent. Nothing but Neutrals

Sometimes you just have to go back to basics...neutrals, in this case. What's fabulous about these neutral-toned items is that all of them have a little flair. The trousers are wide so your legs will look 10 miles long. The light sweater has studs on the top, the perfect little accessories. These pumps are a little aggressive but perfect peeking out from under these brown pants. The earrings and clutch bring it all together. This outfit just proves you don't have to wear loud colors to look spectacular and get noticed.

Not only do I thoroughly enjoy saying the word "trousers" but I enjoy wearing them as well. So, thank goodness they're "in." Topshop featured these trendy pants on their Facebook and made me add another thing to the "need" list. They are as essential as food, shelter and water, right? Don't answer that.
