New Month, New Leaf

I can't believe it's already March (and I'm even a day late...apologies)! Where did the time go?
They say "another day, another dollar" but that's contradicts my news - I recently left my sales job and am looking for a position that is more "me"...something more...sparkly.
I cracked open my favorite Kate Spade planner today (although I have to admit, I don't use it correctly to keep my life in order...it's more of a fun little pad to scribble down the more exciting plans in my life). The monthly note spoke to me - Turn over a new leaf. That I will, Kate..that I will.
Cheers to a new beginning, girls!

Black Beauties

While I don't get to wear these bad boys too often, when I do, it's a fabulous time. These Zara heels are one of my favorite shoe investments. They are a crowd favorite. 

Brush It Off

I happened to notice that I was using the same brush since high school and had to do a little upgrade. This brush, from Forever 21, was about $4 and is right up my alley...black and white stripes. Add a lipstick smooch and some metallic gold writing and I'm in love. 

Decisions, Decisions

I can admit that I'm a creature of habit. So, every Sunday I take a little "me time" and give myself a little mani. That leads me to a big decision I have to make weekly...which shade of heaven to use on my nails. Pink or pink? 

Espadrille Season, Everyone!

While it's been espadrille season in Florida...well, all year round I suppose...it's espadrille season everywhere now! PTL (Praise The Lord). I've been waiting for over a year to wear these precious girls...not because the weather hasn't been perfect...but frankly, I just forgot about them. These were a great steal from Target and are surprisingly very well made. Such a versatile purchase! Target does it again. 

Lost in Loafer Land

As you can tell by this point, I love loafers. I found this beauties over a year ago at TJ Maxx. They were a great deal and they are so fun and unique. These are Dolce Vita. Who doesn't love tassels and suede? This girl is in heaven. 

Swim Into the Suit Sale: Target

Since Target is heaven and you can spend hours in there without getting bored, why wouldn't they have something else amazing to lure me in? Their "Buy One, Get One 50% Off" swim suit sale is going on right now. This spring break special is the perfect opportunity for you to stock up for summer (since most of us don't get the luxury of a spring break - obvi not speaking to my teacher friends). They've brought the heat this year with some cute bikinis, like this snake skin suit above. Loving the neutrals with the gold accents...perfection. Head on in and take a little peek, friends.

My Dad Would Be Proud

I never thought the day would come...and here it is. I find it very difficult to pass up a trend...unless it's those heinous platform sneaker monsters (should be a sin - I'm talking to you, Miley). So, when I see camo popping up everywhere, I had to give it a go. I'm not rolling out into the world with camo pants but I will experiment with something a little more subtle. I found this scarf at Forever 21 for I'm sure under $10. I paired it with a navy and white striped nautical sweater and hot pink lips (Urban Decay). Somewhere my dad is wanting to high-five me right now. 

Leopard = My Favorite Neutral

How am I going to see leopard smoking slippers and NOT purchase them? Well, it's not going to happen - mama needs them. I found these precious gems for about $20 at Forever 21 and are actually quite comfortable. 

Lost in Love

What's more in style than love? I spent my Valentine's Day with my handsome boyfriend. We ate lunch with friends, took a beach stroll and wondered through sultry patches of beachy forest. I wore a romantic long plum dress with a light turquoise necklace. 

Fashion Find of the Day: Having a Spring Moment

For my friends up north...like you needed another reason to be excited for sunshine, warmer temperatures and spring days. Behold my fashion find of the day comes from Topshop. This floral print jumpsuit is my idea of the ultimate outfit...no matching a top and bottom and it's effortlessly glam. I'll take a floral, black and white please.

Big Heels, Big Hair, Big Honor

While I'm perhaps the most inconsistent blogger of all time (my apologies, of course). Thank you to Charlene from Tartanmouth for nominating me - cheers to you! As part of the tradition, I must answer the questions Charlene has selected for my audience's reading pleasure. Happy reading.

1. What do you think is the hardest thing about blogging? For me, the hardest thing about blogging is keeping up with the madness. After staring at a computer screen all day at work, working on the computer for my blog once I'm home is a true struggle sometimes.

2. Who was your embarrassing teenage crush? I loved Justin Timberlake...but we all know the only thing embarrassing about that was his frosted tips and poodle hair.
 
3. If you could change something about your past, would you? Wouldn't everyone? I would definitely like to redo some of my questionable fashion choices...and perhaps studied a little more...

4. Which three celebrities (dead or alive) would you like to go on a night out with? Oh, that's easy...John F. Kennedy, Beyonce and Alexander McQueen.

5. What's something that you wish you were better at? Waking up in the morning...I'm zombie-status every morning.

6. What's your favourite meal to cook? Well, if you know me, you know I don't enjoy cooking at all. So, ordering Chinese food would be my "favorite meal to cook."

7. What are the qualities you look for in a friend? Loyalty, compassion, a sense of humor and a love for tequila.

8. What would be your ideal job? I'd most love to be a personal shopper and stylist.

9. If you had to wear the same outfit every day, what would you pick? Boyfriend jeans, a white J.Crew v-neck, leopard print heels and red lips.

10. What is your favourite Disney film? The Little Mermaid - my brother still complains that I watched it everyday as a little girl. Sorry, brother. Ariel is just so beach chic.

11. Would you rather go on a city break or a beach holiday? I live by the beach but it never gets old. I find the beach much more relaxing and peaceful than a big city. But...the city is where the shopping is!

The Cat's Pajamas

Who says you can't be cute when you sleep? Not this girl. I found these ultra comfortable pajamas at Forever 21 and talk about a great find! The tank is lightweight and the pants are soft. Meow.

'Tis the Season...for Sweatshirts!

Even in sunny Florida, the temperature is dropping (and yes, us Floridians consider 75 degrees to be "breezy"). So, if you want the warmth of a sweatshirt, why not wear one with a little sass? Above are some of my favorite sweatshirts of the moment. This is a perfect way to look cute and put together but remain comfy!

Fresh Fall Flats

Funky fresh fall fashion is all that and a bag of chips right now. While I drool over all things velour, green and all flats...I just almost feel off my couch when I scrolled past these beauties. How precious!? And these flats are just the tip of the iceberg for designer Charlotte Olympia. Take the time (get it...clock flats...) and fall in love with her many beautiful fall creations. You can thank me later.

While I find skulls socially acceptable all year round, for those of you who want to embrace the upcoming holiday, here are some fun tops to mix into your wardrobe.
