I love these metallic J.Crew criss cross sandals for summer but not interested in paying just around $75 for them. I want the look...but for less. Forever 21 is an overwhelming place but every now and then you'll find a gem. These sandals above in gold are less than $20 and come in several different color options, including white, black and the gold. Go get yourself some, girls!

Splurge vs Steal

So...like every woman breathing, I was DYING for these Stuart Weitzman over-the-knee black leather boots. However, while I'm still swooning over a recent promotion, I can't go spending $635 on a pair of boots that will likely be ruined in one day in the Chicago snow. So...I did what I do best. I almost physically ran into the deal of a decade. I found a pair of black leather over-the-knee boots that are the spitting image of Stuart's masterpiece. They are by Unisa and I found them at DSW. How much you ask? A whooping $50...

They are basically identical you say? Well, thank you...I think so myself.

Fashion Find of the Day: We Like Big Bows

This may not tickle all of your fancies...but I LOVE this blouse. Black...white...obnoxious bow? Sign.Me.Up.
This blouse, from Nasty Gal, is so versatile. Mix this feminine piece up with an edgier piece like the leather bottoms above. This can be paired with pants, highwaisted shorts, skirts, etc. With a bow that big, you can keep everything else in your outfit quite simplistic.

My Dad Would Be Proud

I never thought the day would come...and here it is. I find it very difficult to pass up a trend...unless it's those heinous platform sneaker monsters (should be a sin - I'm talking to you, Miley). So, when I see camo popping up everywhere, I had to give it a go. I'm not rolling out into the world with camo pants but I will experiment with something a little more subtle. I found this scarf at Forever 21 for I'm sure under $10. I paired it with a navy and white striped nautical sweater and hot pink lips (Urban Decay). Somewhere my dad is wanting to high-five me right now. 

Cutesy Collar

I love this trend. This sheer houndstooth ivory top (from Gap) needed a little something. This was the perfect opportunity to wear this vintage necklace that I've had for 6 months but have never worn. Layer one of your favorite chunky necklaces with a collared shirt and transform your outfit!
