This Little Light of Mine

While my living room has a variety of colors, my guest room and master bedroom aren't so lucky. I'm a victim of the belief in all white bedrooms. But can you really just have white from floor to ceiling without feeling like you're in a sterile hospital room? I think not. You need some splashes of color here and there to give the room some life, per say. Here is a gentle way to introduce that color - a lamp with both white AND another hue. Find yours at HomeGoods! Shop on, sisters.

I Mean...Totes

What? Like I'm not going to buy a sweater like this? A little black, a little pink - boom.

Walk Fiercely in Winter

If I had to pick one look to rock all fall and winter, this would be it friends. These boyfriend jeans, from J.Crew, are so forgiving and even more comfortable. A chunky cable knit sweater is comfy and practical. Throw on your favorite pair of ankle boots, a plaid scarf, winter hat and call it a day. No need to accessorize with jewelry for this look but I added a funky ear cuff just for a little edge. Voila - chic and bundled up!

Fashion Find of the Day: Having a Spring Moment

For my friends up north...like you needed another reason to be excited for sunshine, warmer temperatures and spring days. Behold my fashion find of the day comes from Topshop. This floral print jumpsuit is my idea of the ultimate outfit...no matching a top and bottom and it's effortlessly glam. I'll take a floral, black and white please.

But, Really...

If the shoe fits, wear it!

Totally Tortoise

Bauble Bar has some fabulous new tortoise necklaces that I was convinced I "needed"...which of course, means "wanted"...a lot. But, when my best friend and I were scouring TJ Maxx for home decor, I stumbled across this beauty. Bling and tortoise...perfection. And most importantly, another sassy necklace for my layering obsession.

Funky in Flannel

While it's still warm in Florida, it's fun to still dress seasonally. This red and black flannel top, from H&M, is the perfect versatile top for fall and winter. I paired this top with black leggings and leopard print flats to mix things up a bit. Need some other ideas for how to wear this top? Here's a few...
1. Try this top with a high-waisted tulle skirt (below the knees in length) and fun heels.
2. Leave this top untucked with skinny jeans and riding boots.

Fashion Find of the Day: Floral!

I've mentioned this before but sometimes my style straddles the line to Grannyville, USA. This could very well be a prime example. When I found this floral gem on J.Crew's Factory website, I almost dropped my laptop. Conservative, floral and colorful...my dreamboat top. What would I wear this you ask? What wouldn't I wear it with? White collared shirt underneath...with high waisted pants...with a pencil skirt...with skinnies.
I mean, it's everything.

Sssssparkles

What is a better accessory than birthday bling? Does that even require an answer? The answer is...nothing...nada...zip.
While I hate sneaky snakes, I do love these earrings. Find similar jewelry at Bauble Bar!

Time for Teal

It's no coincidence that a large amount of teal items have suddenly appeared in my closet, polish collection and bathroom drawers. Such a fun color for summer! This headwrap, which I'm totally pumped about, is from Francesca's and is the perfect solution for second day hair (beach waves, straight or curly!). This ring is from Charming Charlie and is quite the statement piece. Spice up an ordinarily plain outfit with accessories like these and watch your look transform.

J.Crew Junkie

Who says conservative can't be cute? This new top from J.Crew is the perfect amount of non-flashy and leopard. Topped with a vintage-looking chunky J.Crew necklace, Joe's Jeans and some Dolce Vita loafers and I had myself a nice little Monday work outfit. I've been rocking the necklace over a collared top for a bit now but this pop of color/shirt combo is my new fave.

Knot-ical

If I could wear a maxi everyday, I would. I am a huge fan of this maxi dress (Ann Taylor Loft) that has mirrored blue hues, giving an edgier feel. The rope belt solidifies a nautical look and who doesn't love that in Southwest Florida? To keep it simple, I paired this dress with metallic silver sandals and silver jewelry.

Fashion Find of the Day

This funky fresh dress is available on www.NastyGal.com and is on SALE. I love the white and royal blue together (the blue is my fave shade currently). Of course with it's slinky effect, you can't just roll into any venue with this on but how perfect for a fun night out of drinks and flirting?

Totally Tulle

After an (at the time) irrational tulle dress purchase back in college, I was bound and determined to find another time and place to sport this gem. So, I did what I always do. I wait until right before I am going to go to bed and I just stand inside my closet, looking around. This yellow blazer (H&M) just made sense. To keep it work appropriate, I didn't go for my tallest heels. Instead, I opted for these patent leather Franco Sarto dolls. To top it off, I did my fun bun. For accessories, I chose my hot pink ostrich clutch and my blinging studs. Ballerina or boss lady? Who said you have to pick one?
