Local Boutique Bliss

I finally made my way into A.Haley Boutique and found a couple of gems that I'm so excited to weave into my wardrobe. I love timeless looks and on this particular day I tied one of my favorite sweaters around my shoulders for a preppy look. It made sense to bring a little glam to the outfit and not go with the predictable pearls. This necklace was under $20 and there were a ton more to select from. Thanks, A.Haley for this beauty!

Fashion Find of the Day

My black and white obsession continues. This houndstooth skirt, by Mango, is prefect with a fun color or with black, as shown above. It's classic so it's totally wearable for the workplace.

Pumps & Patterns

One of my favorite things in fashion right now is patterned pants. I love ones in neutrals (like above on my Big Apple gal pal Jamie) and also not-so-neutral patterned bottoms. For this fabulous fall day in New York City, Jamie paired these pants (from TJ Maxx) with her Vince Camuto black pumps. Paired with a blazer, you could rock this look at work. Paired with a motorcycle jacket, this could be a fun night look! Either way you cut it, Jamie's getting her glam on.

Funky Friday

It's fun to mix two of my favorite colors...not to mention throwing in some leopard print and layering. Holy fashion heaven. This J.Crew pink sweater is perfect for layering with my Forever 21 white collared shirt. These acid-washed teal pants (H&M) are cute as can be all rolled and ready to rock. I layered this necklace (from Charlotte Russe - $10) in my usual fashion. To throw in a curve ball and since everything was getting a bit "matchy matchy", I opted for these leopard flats. Voila - fun Friday outfit!

Scary (Corporate) Spice

If I can find ways to sneak in some of my favorite trends into my work outfits, I'm all about it. This top, from TJ Maxx (for probably $12.99) works perfectly with my mustard pencil skirt (H&M). I layered on my scalloped silver necklace (from Judy's Antiques - $1), dressing up the skull patterned top. I wore my black patent leather Aldo sky-high heels to finish off the outfit. Plus, what a perfect time to flaunt my new skull bracelet from Charming Charlie! Love.

Lovely Layering

In order to wear some of the dresses/tops to work that I love, sometimes layering helps to make that possible. This purple dress, from Gap, is lightweight and perfect for work. However, why not add a little dimension to it by pairing it with a top? This top, from J.Crew, is the ultimate fix. The color and pattern and not over-powering and makes the dress even more office-appropiate. I topped this outfit off with some espadrilles from Aldo and some layered bracelets (vintage, Forever 21, Michael Kors).

Mixing Neutrals & Brights

I'm a huge fan of these watermelon-colored pants (from Gap). Not only do they have a little stretched to them, but they are the perfect length (everyone knows it's a tough world for a girl with short legs to find pants that are the correct length). In order to not be too overpowering in this hue, I opted for a toned down denim top (TJ Maxx) with nude heels (Zara - not majorly uncomfortable!). I layered gold bracelets (a mix from H&M, Forever 21 and Francesca's) and my Michael Kors boyfriend watch. The bold necklace (J.Crew) ties the outfit together and adds a little color on top. Not bad for throwing something together before rushing out the door.

Basic Black & White

While everyone drops a "I need to quit buying so many black clothing items" while shopping, black and white is so easy to wear. It's easy to match, looks clean and is classic. So, when the opportunity comes around for a fun black and white cotton maxi, you can only imagine how all over it I actually am. Maxi dresses are such perfect option for a Monday. One stop shop, doll! This maxi is from H&M. These fun gold and black shoes are from Target. On my wrist: Michael Kors watch and H&M bracelets.

Sparkles, Spikes and Sassy Shoes

There is no better feeling than getting new high heels...in the world, there isn't a better feeling. You'll never be able to convince me otherwise. But, seriously. The arrival of these heels, from Zara, was the only thing that has kept me going since last week. Is it just me or when you know a new pair of heels is coming do you obsess over what the perfect outfit would be divine with them? Thought this would be the perfect opportunity to bust out my tight mustard pencil skirt from H&M. I paired the skirt and heels with this white and black blouse from Forever21. The necklace added a little feminine touch to the buttoned-up blouse. I kept the rest of my jewelry simple (or non-existent) and rocked a little magenta Sephora lipstick for a pop of color. Loving this outfit.

Skulls, Spice and Everything Nice

There is nothing I don't like about skulls right now. They are trendy yet give you just enough of a bad ass edge that you earn a little street cred....okay, well that might be pushing it. Continued the funkiness throughout the outfit with red skinnies, tall black wedge heels, red lips and a top knot bun.If you aren't sure if skulls are for you, maybe start off slow and ease into it. Try a skull bracelet or scarf.

Knot-ical

If I could wear a maxi everyday, I would. I am a huge fan of this maxi dress (Ann Taylor Loft) that has mirrored blue hues, giving an edgier feel. The rope belt solidifies a nautical look and who doesn't love that in Southwest Florida? To keep it simple, I paired this dress with metallic silver sandals and silver jewelry.

Fuchsia Friday

Nothing more liberating than wearing jeans on Friday to work. There is also nothing more liberating than wearing a $100 blazer that you got for $12. This fuchsia blazer, from the Kardashian Kollection, was such a steal. Paired with this funky tee from H&M, I was able to spice up my dark skinnies. I topped off the outfit with 3 chunky silver bracelets and black wedge heels (got to sneak in the extra inches where I can!). Skinnies: Flying Monkey

Finding Love in Loft

My girlfriend, Mary, LOVES Ann Taylor Loft so on our recent shopping trip, I tagged along into a somewhat unfamiliar land. Not only did I find this cute eyelet dress, but also a fabulous maxi. I love this black number...conservative enough for work but short enough to make me not feel blah. I paired this outfit with some espadrilles from Aldo (my faves). I kept the rest of the outfit simple (pearls, Michael Kors watch, Tiffany & Co. bracelet, Betsey Johnson sunnies).

Bargain in Blue

When I shop, I mean business. I'll shop anywhere as long as I'm finding items that I love. However, I do find myself spending an abnormal amount of time in H&M. I mean, they have everything under the sun that is fun and trendy...not to mention AMAZING sales. This dress, above, was $10 at H&M on sale. I'm totes serious. Like....10...dollars. Find these ivory slingback heels at Aldo.

Crew Necks: Cute AND Comfy

One of my favorite things in the world to buy is J.Crew t-shirts. I love their v-necks...I love their crew necks. I look for any opportunity to wear these comfy but cute tops. When I was frantically searching through my closet for a top to wear with my navy lace skirt. This J.Crew orange/red crew neck was the perfect choice. I added a little detail to the outfit with gold accessories, including gold and snakeskin Jessica Simpson heels.

Splash of Color

With the sun out in full force, make sure you're bringing a little color into your outfit mix. These dark coral pants are not only comfortable (nothing better than a little stretch to your pants!) but perfect for jazzing up a less-than-flashy cream top like mine above. Wearing a fun necklace over my shirt/under my collar is one of my favorite trends right now. I decided to keep a fairly consistant gold throughout the outfit, including the belt, shoes, jewelry and sunnies. In addition, this is work-appropriate and who doesn't love a new idea to spice up your Monday-Friday.

Your Office is Your Runway

I can't get enough of this hammer pants (Forever 21), as I call them. Paired with simple nude heels (Jessica Simpson) and a plain white v-neck (J.Crew), these pants really add a groovy factor to a work day. Added a chunky, blinged-out necklace from Charming Charlie's and my "sock ball" to add a little glam to this 'fit. In addition, it was the perfect opportunity to take this very grey outfit up a notch with my new fuschia lipstick (post to come). Who says going to work can't be fun? Use your office as a runway to keep your 9-5 ever exciting.

Party Meets Professional

Casual Fridays means different things to different people. Sometimes it means wearing the same blouse you'd typically wear with trousers or dress pants and trying a pair of jeans instead. For me, it's about wearing something I couldn't get away with on a Monday through Thursday. For instance, this amazing new Def Leppard t-shirt (obviously because my favorite song is "Pour Some Sugar on Me") with a blazer. Paired with black wedge heels, some fun spike earrings and some rocker hair waves. Find similar shirts at Target.

4 Ways to Wear a White Tee: Look 3

Time to take our white tees to the workplace, lovely ladies. If you know me, you know I am obsessed with what my girlfriends refer to as "granny floral". This blazer is fabulous. Paired with skinny black jeans, our staple white shirt and these studded pumps...just perfection. I'm picturing a middle part with Kardashian waves...but that's just me. Do your thing, girls.

Spice Up Your (Work) Life

Since I've been getting quite bored with my work wardrobe, I decided to start branching out (in my closet) a little. Yesterday I decided to go with a little dress number that I'd bought more for the night scene. With a blazer over it, it's work appropriate. I paired this outfit with some patent leather pumps, some costume jewelry, a low bun and that's what all she wrote.
