Tuesday's Tip: Heat Things Up

Some of you may know this quick and easy tip for enhancing your eyelash curler and some of you are about to have you minds blown. Grab your blow dryer and warm up your curler by directly blowing hot air on it for about 10 seconds. Make sure it's not uncomfortably hot before using it on your lashes. This will ensure that the curl will last longer and be a bit more intense. Voila - va voom lashes!

Brush It Off

I happened to notice that I was using the same brush since high school and had to do a little upgrade. This brush, from Forever 21, was about $4 and is right up my alley...black and white stripes. Add a lipstick smooch and some metallic gold writing and I'm in love.

Fit: Face-Friendly

Always on the market for new products...especially ones that make my face look a little less flawed and little more flawless. On one of my 384237 trips to Target, I swiped these Fit products by Maybelline. So far, so good! This line comes in so many shades - you are sure to find one that matches your skin tone perfectly. This foundation provides great coverage and the powder zaps shine. Not to mention, you won't be emptying your bank account because these products range around $5. Cha-ching!

Beauty on a Budget: Lotion

I've had a beauty product hoarding problem since before there were shows about hoarding. I can finally cut down one product from 7 bottles to 1 because this lady found a winner. I'm the type of girl that walks down the lotion aisle, smelling literally every brand and scent until they find the perfect combination of clean and feminine scents. This Nivea daily lotion passed the sniff test but then I brought it home and tried it and BAM. "Extended Moisture" was no joke. My legs feel like silk allllll day. Toss the rest, keep the best.

Totally Twiggy

If you have ever watched America's Next Top Model...so...everyone, you have seen old pics of Twiggy from back in her first modeling day. I want to have these extreme bottom lashes. They are so striking and different. The mocha or smokey shadow under the lashes makes more of a pop and adds definition. Keep your lips simple with nudes and light pinks to keep the attention where it belongs...those luscious lashes.

Bring on the Brows

There is one piece of beauty advice my Aunt Beth has been preaching since I can remember: Don't overpluck your eyebrows. Of course I overplucked my eyebrows...what girl in middle school did you know that didn't have world's tiniest brows for a year or two? Then once you realize you looked tragic, it took what felt like eons to grow them back. To this day, I still believe in helping your brows out a little bit by filling them in. Not making them bigger than what they are...just giving them a little boost by pronouncing them. Everyone looks better with a little brow definition...I'm a true believer. My brows are thin and light in color and when I do my eye makeup, they can get lost in the madness. I'm not talking about coming out of the bathroom looking like Unversity of Kentucky's Anthony Davis (just Google unibrow) either...just a little something something.

Plum's So Posh

Fall is just around the corner which means new trends and a whole new color palette to work with. I am most excited about this plum lipstick, which I have been shamelessly wearing well before fall. My to-go lady at Sephora had this shade waiting on me last time I stopped in. Of course I thought it was too intense at first but now I look for excuses to wear it. Makeup artists say play up green eyes with purple liner or shadow...my vote is for plum lipstick.
