Home Sweet Home

Well, we are all moved in. We have purchased the cute blue chair above (Homegoods, duh!) and we are looking to reinvent our whole living room. Out with my boyfriend's bachelor pad black leather couches and in with the sophisticated couch/chaise lounge in a nice neutral color. Next up, we are adding a little texture to our hard wood floors with a cow hide rug. Our general tendency is to go for a modern/rustic chic vibe so we would tie that in with a metal table. We currently have an awesome steer skull hanging over the blue chair I'm pretty obsessed with that corner of the room. Eclectic is the name of my game. Home sweet home.

Perfume Pedestal

Why not add a little fashion fun to your home? I found this cake stand at Homegoods (heaven on earth) and traded out the teal ribbon it came with for a black ribbon. It's the perfect platform for all my favorite perfumes.

Bar carts are all the rage right now and can sass up any home. With wine being one of many people's drink of choice, having some fancy and fashionable bottle stoppers is totes necessary. Below are some of my favorites that I've stumbled across.

Bookcase Boost

I've been looking for little ways to spice up some of my home decor. While I have a bookcase, I felt like doing a little something like above in my room would be cute and something new. I found this "@" piece at TJ Maxx for about $6.

When implementing leopard print into your life, small doses does the trick. While most of the time, we think of leopard print in our wardrobe but in the home...that's fabulous. A touch of leopard print carpet here works perfectly. 

Hooked

Since I moved a year ago, I've been looking for the perfect piece of art to put on this wall in my bedroom. Recently, I decided to use the space for something useful instead...hanging space. I found these amazing hooks at World Market for $6.99 each. I put two in my bedroom and one in my bathroom. Add a glass of wine or two and I had myself a nice little week night activity. I'll say it...I'm hooked on hooks.
